Hi Jamie!
Welcome to the planDisney Panel! Great question! Typically, Guests can wear costumes for special events such as
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. However, as you know, that event was canceled for 2020. Per the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, Guests over the age of 14 cannot wear costumes. For more specific information, please visit this page:
Theme Park Dress and Costume Guidelines - FAQ. Keep in mind that you and your family can still make this visit fun and exciting by wearing themed shirts or something known as Disney Bounding. This is where you wear day to day clothes but where the colors or styles may match a favorite Disney Character. Check out this recent article on the
Disney Parks Blog regarding Disney Bounding Guests for ideas! You and your family may decide to pick a favorite Disney Movie and Disney Bound the characters. I've seen many families Disney Bound movies such as Inside Out, Toy Story, Wreck-It Ralph as well as many Disney classics. I hope this helps! I am sure that you and your family are going to have a great time!
Quick tip: Be sure to download the
My Disney Experience app on your mobile phone before your trip! Here you can see wait times for attractions and even where you can place a mobile order for many of the quick service locations!
