Travis, thank you for taking the time to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Early May is a great time to visit Disneyland with its warm Southern California weather. School is still in session for most children, making this a slower time historically speaking. However, with the
60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration well underway, you may encounter slightly larger crowds than usual. Guests want to take in exciting happenings such as "Paint the Night" parade and "World of Color -- Celebrate!" The crowd level during the week of May 9th won't be too bad, and the Parks will not reach capacity as they can during the busy Holidays.
Pixie dust tips: If you have 3-day or longer Park Hoppers or are staying onsite at a
Disneyland Resort hotel, be sure to maximize your time at the park by taking advantage of
Extra Magic Hour. Also, be sure to pick up FastPasses for your favorite rides. I have also found the
Disneyland mobile app to be useful in checking out ride wait times, as well as seeing where our favorite characters are located for meet-and-greet!
Enjoy your upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. Please come back to visit us on the Panel if you have further questions!
chEARS,
Kiki
