Hi Meghan,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You have picked a wonderful time of year to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort! The Theme Parks and Resort Hotels are festively decorated and overflowing with the spirit of the holiday season. One of my favorite family memories is walking down Main Street, U.S.A. in
Magic Kingdom Park and seeing the gorgeous twinkling strands of lights adorning Cinderella Castle for the first time. The look on my children's faces is something I'll never forget; true joy and awe!
At this time, information regarding New Year's Eve Dining at the Walt Disney World Resort has not yet been released. In the past, there have been special menu offerings at some of the Theme Park Restaurants on, not only New Year's Eve, but on the day before and New Year's Day as well. Be sure to check the
Disney Parks Blog for updates and the latest Parks and Resorts Information. Keep in mind that New Year's Eve in Magic Kingdom Park is always very crowded. If you want to enjoy the fireworks show in the Park, I suggest arriving as early in the evening as you can. Another suggestion would be to dine at one of the Restaurants in
Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, or
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. You can enjoy a meal later in the evening and then view the Magic Kingdom Park New Years Eve fireworks show from the fantastic spots that are in and around these Resorts.
Magical Wishes,
Susan
