My family and I are planning a trip to DIsney and wanted to know what is the best time of year to come - warm enough to go to the water parks, but less crowded?

    Charise:

I've always wanted to visit Disney World the week AFTER Labor Day when many of my Disney friends have told me there are practically no lines!  (We've been twice in September but at the end of the month--still less crowded than most any other time of the year, except at Epcot, which celebrates the opening of the popular Food & Wine Festival.)

The pictures I've seen from that week after Labor Day confirm that students are back in school and folks who spend their winters in Florida haven't made the trek down yet.  Disney also must think it's a slow time as it is Value Season, and you're able to get your best room rates of the year.  Yes, there are other times in November, January, and February that sport low crowd levels as well, but the weather will be hit or miss for the water parks and usually one water park is closed for refurbishment during this time!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
