My family is planning a trip to Disney in September 2016. My daughter has an up to date military ID because she is dependent of her dads. Me nor my husband are military but can I use her ID to get her a discounted ticket? What do I need to do?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Alisha!

September is a fantastic time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! I especially like the end of the month so you can enjoy the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's No-So-Scary Halloween Party. In order to use discounted military tickets, the tickets must be purchased by an active or retired member of the U.S. military or their spouse. They also need to be activated once you get to Walt Disney World Resort by an active or retired member of the U.S. military or their spouse. So unfortunately, since you and your husband are not military, your daughter will not be able to utilize the discounted military tickets unless her dad is an Eligible Service Member and will be at Walt Disney World Resort with you during your trip to activate them.

However, because September tends to be a slower season, there are often good discounts and deals offered to the general public for vacations during that time. In previous years, a free dining promotion has been offered for Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels during the fall months! I recommend keeping an eye out for Special Offers and watch the Disney Parks Blog over the next few months to see the deals announced for Guests visiting in the fall.

Let us know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
