My family is planning a trip to Disney in July. I have a 12 year old and 15 year old. My oldest son really wants to swim with the sharks at shark reef. Is there a way we can purchase tickets ahead of time for this attraction or do we have to wait in lin

    Hi MIchelle,

Shark Reef, where your son can swim and snorkel with sharks in bracingly cool salt water, is included in admission to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. Snorkeling equipment is also provided for no additional cost. No tickets are needed nor can you buy one that allows you to bypass the line. You may purchase tickets to the water park in advance. To avoid a long wait for Shark Reef, arrive at the water park at opening and head straight for this unique attraction.

A more in depth experience is available called the S.A.S. Adventure. Participants are instructed in Surface Air Snorkeling, given an air tank and float vest, and allowed to enjoy the tank for 30 minutes. The cost is about $20 for half an hour. Stop at Hammer Head Fred's Dive Shop if your son would like to try this adventure.

    Enjoy swimming with the sharks!
