We are a family of 5 planning a trip to Disney in the fall of 2009. Would like to eat at 4-5 rest. that require 2 table service meals. Would it be better to purchase the deluxe dining plan rather than the basic? When does the deluxe plan benefit a family?

Hi, I would definitely go ahead and purchase the Deluxe Plan.  The Deluxe plan allows you to have 3 table service meals a day.  When we have planned to attend the Luau, and Cinderella's Royal Table, and then perhaps a Chef Mickey's, we purchase the Deluxe Dining Plan.  The Deluxe benefits when you attend many Character or Dinner Show meals, as they are quite pricey, and it would be the cost of a breakfast and a lunch, for one day.  If you were on the Basic, it would be two meals from two days.  You will save money, if you are able to do all that you have planned.  Have a great trip!!!
