Hello Sheena,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for reaching out to me with this question! I love staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and my family especially enjoys staying at a
Value Resort! It’s perfect for all kinds of families as they are very well-themed and family-friendly and as my son says, “it really feels like you are at Disney!.”
There are five Value Resorts:
Disney’s Pop Century Resort,
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort,
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort,
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, and
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort are very close to each other and are connected by a bridge with complimentary transportation options that include the
Disney Skyliner and bus. These two Resorts are closest to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. All of the All-Star Resorts are right next to each other in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park Area and have bus transportation.
Staying at a Disney Resort Hotel gives you so many
benefits including the ability to book Dining Reservations 60 days ahead for your entire trip, Early Entry every day at all 4 Walt Disney World theme parks, the ability to buy before arriving discounted
MagicBands or MagicBand+, being able to charge merchandise and purchases to your room, and free parking at the Resort and the Parks.
All of the Disney Resort Hotels are on Walt Disney World property and are connected to the Parks by
complimentary transportation. No matter where you stay there are easy ways to get to where you need to go.
I would check the
Special Offers page for deals! Right now there is a
deal for guests who are visiting in May and I did a little search for you and found that it did reduce the price nicely!
If I were to choose one Value Resort to be my family’s favorite I would say Disney’s Pop Century Resort for my family of 4. If I brought more family with me I would then choose Disney’s Art of Animation Resort with its huge family suites. Both of these Resorts have easy access to the Disney Skyliner and bus transportation. This gives you two options to get where you need to go. However, I also love Disney's All-Star Movies and will check out their newly renovated rooms this year!
When
booking a vacation start by selecting your Resort Room and from there decide what kind of tickets you want. You can play around with the options for how many days you want and what kind of ticket you want.
If you have more questions
I do have more to share but am running out of space! Happy planning!
