My family is planning a trip in December and will be purchasing a package with dining. Can I upgrade the base tickets to annual passes? If we use the tickets before upgrading do I lose value? Can pass holders still get DDP later?

    Hi Jesse,

Yes, you'll be able to upgrade your base tickets to annual passes. There are two conditions to keep in mind:
    1. The upgrade needs to be done before you've utilized all of your park days. Thus, the upgrade has to be completed before entering a park on your last day of touring.

    2. The upgrade must be done prior to 14 days after first using the tickets. Non-expiration tickets expire and are not eligible for upgrades after this time.

If you use your tickets before upgrading, you will not lose any cash value. The upgrade will be based on the original value.

Annual Passholders are eligible for the Disney Dining Plan. You will not have to purchase tickets as part of the package, however you will be subject to all conditions of a vacation package including the balance of payment being due 45 days prior to arrival.
