It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Stephen!
It sounds like we have a lot in common because I think it's never too early to start planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. There is still so much for you to plan for and you've already taken the first step by choosing your Resort Hotel,
Disney's All-Star Music Resort. This was the
Resort Hotel that my family stayed at when I was a kid, so I have such fun memories of splashing around in the Calypso Pool in the shadow of The Three Caballeros!
After you've made your Resort Hotel reservation and started thinking about your
advanced dining reservations, one of the first things that you need to do is think about how you want to spread out your theme park time across the days of your vacation. Disney will likely never tell us the total number of guests at each theme park on a given day, but there are some that are more popular than others on special holidays like
Christmas and New Year's. In my experience,
Magic Kingdom Park is the number one place that guests want to be to celebrate those special days with their families, so it tends to be the busiest one of the theme parks on holidays.
Disney's Hollywood Studios used to be my favorite place to go on busy days, but with the opening of
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge this year and the debut of the brand new attraction,
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, I think it will also be a pretty popular place to be.
If I was spending Christmas at one of the theme parks this year, I would choose
Disney's Animal Kingdom! There are some
new and exciting Christmas decorations and a brand new projection on the
Tree of Life to celebrate the holidays. I had a chance to see all of the new offerings a couple of weeks ago, and my favorite is the Merry Menagerie of life-size, sculpted animal puppets. The food at Disney's Animal Kingdom is also some of the best at any theme park, and with food being such an important part of celebrating the holidays, I think it's a great place to spend Christmas Day next year.
Have a magical day, Stephen, and Merry Christmas!
