My family is planning to stay at one of the campsites when we visit Disney. We have two larger tents and we cannot find any information on the size of the tent site to see if both tents will fit. One tent is 11x19 and the other is 10x17. Will they fit?

WOW Betty!  You've got two big tents!

The sand pads at Disney are all different sizes and vary from loop to loop....Loop 1500 has smaller pads in comparison to Loop 2000.

You definitely need to give the Disney reservationist the size of your two tents so that when they assign sites, they can try to accommodate you.  Just keep in mind that, although Disney tries their best, not all requests can be met.

Most of the sites in these loops are level with grassy and pine-straw areas, so even if you weren't able to fit completely on the sand pad, you'll be able to get your stakes down.  Worse case scenario: Disney is very accommodating if you get to your site and it doesn't work.  This has happened to us once when we couldn't get our camper door open because of a series of trees.  If you find yourself wanting to change, I recommend walking the loop, or several loops, and finding a few "empties" that might suit you and then asking specifically if those sites are available for you to transfer to. Hope this won't be the case, but just wanted you to know what we've done and how wonderful the cast members were to help us out.

We love Fort Wilderness. If you have any more questions about our family's "home away from home," feel free to come back and contact me via my bio page!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
