Our family is planning a stay for the month of december and we were thinking about staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Animal Kingdom Lodge. But I was wondering if the animals in the wildlife preserve were active and out at this time of year?

We had breakfast at Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge just yesterday before departing for home. I was reminded how much I absolutely love the resort's ambiance.

I think you'll find that the animals are much more active in December's cooler weather than during the heat of the summer months.

Still, animal viewing is always best during feeding times which is usually during the early morning and again at sunset.

Our family has always experienced better animal viewing during the colder months at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and while enjoying Kilimanjaro Safaris in the Animal Kingdom park.

This past week on a chilly January day, I saw all of the animals active at the Animal Kingdom park including the lion and lioness!
