My family is planning a stay I'm September and wanted a character dining experience with a Star Wars theme. Do they or will they do this as part of any Halloween fun?

Hi, Tommy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am so excited for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I am sure it will be “out of this world”! At the moment, I am sad to report that no special Star Wars Character Dining has been announced. However, this may be a possibility in the future once the new Star Wars themed lands open in 2019. We will have to keep our eyes and ears on the Disney Parks Blog for further information. For now, there are still quite a few Star Wars offerings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, included a new tour! Make sure to give Chewbacca a hug for me over at Star Wars Launch Bay!

As you are visiting in September, you will most likely have the option of attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! My husband and I attended this ticketed event a few years ago (without the kids), and had a blast trick-or-treating around Magic Kingdom Park! This is the only time when adults can wear a costume to a Disney Theme Park, just make sure to read the costume guidelines.

I hope you have a magical time and “may the force be with you” as we all await news about new Star Wars attractions!
