Hi there Danielle, wishing you a very Royal Welcome to planDisney!
I'm glad that you came here to ask me this question, as we've just come back from a trip where we absolutely loved staying around
Disney's BoardWalk. There really is nothing like being able to stroll right back to your room at the end of a long day at
Disney's BoardWalk Villas or even taking a leisurely midday pool break
Disney's Beach Club Villas after a short walk from
EPCOT.
I had a great chat with a
Disney Vacation Club Cast Member today who let me know that currently all of the bedrooms have black out curtains, which is great news for people like my husband - who enjoys keeping the room as dark as possible during those key daytime naps. In our experience, we had to fully extend each layer of curtains to the fullest in order to get as much coverage as possible from the sun at the edges. Another key tip that may come in handy is seeing whether you can put in a request for a room that does not directly overlook the
Stormalong Bay or
Luna Park Pool pool areas.
The recreation team does a fantastic job of entertaining guests with fun and engaging activities - but let's say the black out curtains do a better job of shielding against the sun as opposed to the shrieks and sounds of poolside excitement.
As I always say on any overnight expedition: You'll always have better dreams if your sleep isn't bothered by light - or screams!
You might be fortunate enough to be able to experience some refreshed amenities and new enhancements during your stay as both Resort Hotels are currently undergoing refurbishments. One thing that I'm definitely looking forward to is the opening of
The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers; it's nice to know that you might be able to sneak away for some sweet treats just a skip away from your villa!
Thanks again for dropping by, and feel free to
come back to ask me anything that I can help research for any of your upcoming adventures!
Dig a Little Deeper into those comfy pillows, knowing that you'll be able to relax in the darkness you seek on your upcoming stay.
