My family and I are planning to spend New Year's eve at The Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Do they happen to do anything special for that time? Thank you so much in advance.

    Hi Joanna,

Spending holidays at Walt Disney World is so much fun! My family and I celebrated New Year's Eve at Walt Disney World recently, and we had a wonderful time. I am also happy to hear that you are staying at the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. This is one of my family's favorite places to stay at Walt Disney World. We love having a full kitchen as well as a grill right outside of our cabin to prepare meals at this relaxed resort.

If you wish to stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort to ring in the new year, my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist Kay has suggested that heading the the beach at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort on New Year's Eve will give you a view of the fireworks as well as the opportunity to celebrate with other guests. I also suggest that you take a walk or golf cart ride through the campsites. People camping at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort will often decorate their campsites for the holidays, and you will likely still see many of the decorations up on New Year's Eve.

While the resort may offer something additional on New Year's Eve, it is too soon to know. I suggest that you monitor the Disney Parks Blog for news about celebrations as New Year's Eve approaches, and also check out the page about New Year's Eve at Walt Disney World.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Joanna! Have a wonderful time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
