We are a family of 4 planning a November trip staying at the Art of Animation. My boys are 8 & 5. My question is this.....family suite it too much room and money for us. A standard is fine. Will my boys be disappointed with a mermaid room???

    Hello Jennifer!

Let me first tell you that Disney's Art of Animation Resort is incredible!  I have seen so many great pictures and heard from some of the MOMS Panelists that this resort is truly MAGICAL!

Now, I have only seen artist renderings of The Little Mermaid themed standard rooms.  While the room decorations are still subject to change, I would assume that Ariel would be a feature character in each of these rooms.  Do your boys like The Little Mermaid movie?  If they do, then I think this room could work for you.  If they do not like the movie, then you could have a problem.

You also know your boys and their temperaments.  For example, I have two boys that are ages ten and four.  My four year old would be totally fine staying in a Little Mermaid themed room.  However my 10 year old would probably sleep outside by the pool.

My recommendation is to ask your boys and get their opinion.  From there, you will be able to make the right decision.

If you have other questions, please let me know!

    Have a MAGICAL day!

    Wes
