Hey, Jennifer!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. So your daughter wants to follow in the footsteps of Walt Disney and become an artist. I love it!
Currently, there are two places within Walt Disney World Resort that offer drawing lessons since the Animation Academy at Disney's Hollywood Studios closed in 2015.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort offers Character drawing class for Guests of this Resort hotel (specific this this Resort hotel) for free at 11:00 a.m., 2;00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily. Kids of all ages are welcome to attend. It is usually held in the playroom near the front desk.
At
DIsneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park at
Disney Springs West Side, Animation Academy returns so Guests may learn how to draw a Disney character with an instructor. We drew Mickey Mouse and I must say my boys did a great job. Classes are 30 minutes in duration and are held daily from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please note that admission is required into DisneyQuest. Current admission fees including tax are $47.93 for ages 10+ year and $39.00 for ages 3-9 years. Kids under 3 years old are free.
Disney Dad Tip: Admission to DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park is one of the options with a Water Parks Fun and More Option on your
theme park tickets. You may want to purchase this option instead of the direct admission fee if the overall cost is less expensive and you get extra admissions to other Disney experiences.
I know your daughter will love the lessons.
Jennifer, enjoy drawing many Magical Memories!
