Hey There, Martha!
Welcome to planDisney. For me, there's nothing more magical than a Walt Disney Resort visit when my whole family gets to come along. But when we travel as a big group, our ages range from toddlers to grandparents (and everything in between), so everybody is always heading in different directions. While my kids want to spend every waking moment in the parks, my parents prefer to visit the parks once or twice and spend the rest of their vacation soaking up everything our Disney Resort has to offer. And the great news is that there are lots of Walt Disney World ticket options to meet each Guest's needs. Let me share a few details about Walt Disney World theme park admission to help you plan the perfect visit for each member of your traveling party.
When you purchase
Walt Disney World theme park tickets, you'll select the number of days you plan to visit a park (up to 10 days). You'll also have the option to purchase a standard ticket –– which allows you to visit one park per day –– or to customize your ticket with things like the Park Hopper Option or the Water Park and Sports Option, which grants you access to multiple parks, water parks, and more each day. And here's the best part –– you'll be able to customize the number of each ticket type during the checkout process, so you can mix and match the tickets you need for your family. Here's what you'll need to do:
1. Visit the Walt Disney World website and sign in with your Disney Account credentials.
2. Hover over "Parks and Tickets" and select "Theme Park Tickets" from the drop-down menu.
3. Under "Standard Theme Park Tickets" click the blue "Continue" button.
4. Select the number of days, the ticket type, and the starting date for the
first ticket selection you want to purchase –– at the bottom of the screen, you'll also be able to choose the number of tickets (that means if you need two 3-day tickets, you can add these to your cart all at once). Click "Continue".
5. If you would like to select any customization options, check the appropriate box, then click the green "Select" button.
6. On the next screen, you'll see your Shopping Cart. To make your additional ticket selections, scroll to the "Continue Shopping For:" section and select "Theme Park Tickets".
7. Continue repeating the steps above until you've added all the tickets your family needs to your cart. Once this is done, follow the on-screen prompts to enter your payment information and complete the check-out process.
Once your tickets have been purchased, you'll want to be sure and link each type of ticket to the right person in your party. You can do this by visiting My Disney Experience and clicking on "Tickets and Memory Maker" in the "My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets" section. From there, you can assign each individual ticket to members of your Friends & Family List. After your tickets have been linked, I also suggest making your theme park reservations with the
Disney Park Pass system as soon as possible. American Thanksgiving is a very busy time at Walt Disney World Resort and I wouldn't be surprised to see Disney Park Pass reservations fill up completely during that week. By making your reservations early, you'll be securing your spot for the first park you plan to visit each day.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Martha. If you think of new questions as your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit approaches, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always here to help!
Happy Planning,
Amy
