My family is planning our first WDW trip for May 2010 with 3 kids - 5, 2.5 and 9 mos at time of travel. We want to stay at either AK with view or the Contemporary - which is better for transportation to MK? How long would it take via bus from AK to MK?

Hello Wendi!  If proximity to Magic Kingdom is important to you, then the Contemporary is your resort!  Not only do you have access to the convenient monorail, you can also walk to Magic Kingdom in about 10 minutes.  It will take you about 20 minutes via but to travel from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Magic Kingdom.

With the ages of your children, I would especially vote to go with the convenience of the Contemporary.  It will be super easy for you to leave Magic Kingdom to head to the Contemporary for a mid-day nap or relaxation.  You can also use the monorail to get to Epcot by transferring monorails at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

I hope your first vacation is truly magical.  Please let us know if you have further questions and we'd be happy to assist!  Diane
