    Hi Michelle!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

The first thing to figure out is when you would like to come and where you would like to stay.  If you are looking for low crowds, then the best time to come is when older children are normally in school.  Holidays and summers can be packed at Walt Disney World.  My family usually enjoys visiting during the first two weeks of December, in mid-January, over President's Day Weekend, early May, and in October.  We find the summer months to be crowded and hot, but we've been there many times then as well!

If you really want to time your visit based on crowds, then I recommend visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com.  That is the research team behind the tour book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  They are famous in the Disney fan community for producing a crowd calendar that predicts the crowd levels in the various parks on various days.  Their predictions are based on a lot math and years of data collection.  As an engineer, I am a huge fan of their work.

For discount information, I recommend visiting the independent website MouseSavers.Com.  Mouse Savers is one of my first stops when I plan a Disney vacation.  You will find lots of money saving tips and ideas on the site.

I also recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors, as it is full of information without being overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good feel of everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

Our responses are limited in length, and I know I didn't answer all of your questions.  Please write back with more questions!
