How wonderful that you are planning your first trip! Our 20 year old son was 2 years old for his first trip, so I am so excited for you remembering how much fun he had on his first Disney trip.
One of the first things I would do is to order the
Free Disney Parks Planning DVD, which will help to provide you with more information about Walt Disney World. As you begin looking at the
resorts, it is helpful to know there are 3 levels of resorts: value, moderate, and deluxe. The value resorts are more budget-friendly, but still have the perks and magic of a Disney resort. The moderates increase in cost and have more amenities while the deluxe resorts offer the most amenities and space, including closer proximity to the theme parks. I'd look over the resorts' theming, amenities, and costs to see which best fits your needs and tastes. Once you've narrowed down some choices, feel free to send us more specific questions.
To learn more about the attractions, you may find the
Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones Guide helpful. I also really like the website www.touringplans.com as it offers a variety of touring plans that provide guests with plans tailored toward their needs, such as traveling with little ones, to walk them through the must-see attractions and the order in which to visit them. It does have a small cost, but one I find worthwhile.
Another website I visit regularly is www.disneyfoodblog.com as it provides oodles of good Disney dining news. Similarly, allears.net is another source of Disney information. And of course, the
Disney Parks Blog is incredibly helpful. As you have additional questions, please let us know. We are happy to help!
