    My family and I are planning a our first family trip to Disney World late Jan 2012. How is the weather in late January early February. Also, are prices for vacation packages simiilar to December prices?

    To help you decide, here's the scoop on the weather:

    February's average temp is 62 degrees with 7 days of rain; January's average temp is 61 degrees with 6 days of rain, too. So in a nutshell, they are quite similar. 

    You will find that the there are more dates in January with rooms at a lower rate than in February, too. The January dates are a bit less than the early December rates, too. When you get closer to Christmas, the rates jump in price significantly. The room rates will determine your overall vacation package cost.

    And just an fyi, there are a few dates you might want to avoid:  The Disney Marathon on January 5-8, 2012; the weekend around MLK Day on January 17, 2012; and, Presidents' Day Weekend on February 20, 2012.
