Hi Heather!
First time Disney cruisers in the house! We are so excited to welcome you to planDisney and help you navigate the cruise planning waters. I hope that you find this an easy breezy vacation as you explore
The Bahamas on the
Disney Dream.
This is an important question because nobody wants to be uncomfortable while on vacation. And nothing can get us that way more so than being too hot or too cold, am I right? I have no idea what the “official” temperature is onboard, but I can tell you that each stateroom has its own thermostat, so you can adjust it to a temperature you find comfortable. We like to keep the temperature cold when sleeping...so much so that we call it like being in a meat locker!
The times I might notice the inside temperature the most would be during the Broadway-caliber shows in the
Walt Disney Theatre or at dinnertime during
rotational dining. In those cases, I just make sure I have a light sweater or throw I can put on in case I get chilly. If you are concerned about being too warm, I suggest bringing a small handheld or neck fan or one of those cooling bandanas that can easily be worn on the neck to cool off.
The great news is that at any moment, you are only steps away from the great outdoors and those marvelous ocean breezes. In that regard, I find being outside on a Disney cruise to be incredibly invigorating. But it also means that the internal temperatures can vary depending on the specific location on the ship and its proximity to open doors. So my best advice is to pack for the climate you are traveling to and give yourself some options in case things are cooler than expected.
Wishing you a DREAMy adventure at sea with Captain Mickey!
