Our family is planning our first Disney trip in August, staying at the Poly. My boys, ages 2 and 4 would be thrilled to have a view of the monorail. Which building should I request?

Hi Greta!  Funny I should come across your question...some of us moms were just talking about this the other day!  Anyway, the two long houses you'll want to consider are Aotearoa and Rarotonga.  Personally, I opt for Rarotonga, 3rd floor facing the monorail.  The landscaping at the Polynesian is beautiful and plentiful so you may have to look through the trees to see the monorails but there are a few unobstructed views in the center of the longhouse.

There are also great views at the Aotearoa longhouse as well but if you think the sounds of the nightly luau dinner shows will disturb your boys, you may be better off at Rarotonga.

By the way, my favorite unofficial website for the Polynesian is the Tikiman may want to browse through this website for more helpful tips!

Have a magical vacation!  Diane  :)
