Welcome back to planDisney, Kristy! It's so nice to have you back around these parts. After all, this here's the "wildest ride in the wilderness." Okay, that's
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, but I just felt the need to quote it!
The pools at the
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels are exclusively for Guests staying at that resort and are listed on the resort reservation. In fact, you often must scan your
MagicBand or key card to gain access, and some resort pools even require wristbands for Guests to enter. But don't worry, there are plenty of activities that your children's grandparents can enjoy with your children at the resort.
Not only are there activities for all ages and heights at the theme parks, but if their hearts are set on spending time by the pool, you can invite them for a day at a
water park. All Guests of a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel in 2025 will get
free admission to the open water park on their check-in day. So, even though you might be staying at different hotels, as long as they are both Disney-owned, you can enjoy that day together! And it won't be just pools. Think lazy rivers, thrill slides, splash pads, and more!
And when it comes to the resort hotels, you can typically meet up at each other's hotels and enjoy the dining, atmosphere, and sometimes even paid activities like
fishing,
boat rental, and more! Just note that unless you stay at a particular resort or have an
advanced dining reservation, you will not be allowed to park at that hotel. And there may be certain activities or times of the year when only Guests staying at that hotel can enjoy these activities.
Kristy, I hope you and your extended family have the best time together at the resort. If you have any other questions,
please don't hesitate to ask!
Giving up is for rookies,
Matt
