My family and I are planning on going to Epcot's Food and Wine Fest on the first day. We do not really know how it works and how much we should budget for. We are 2 adults and 16 mo. Twins. What are the special F& W events and how much are they?

    Hi Penny,

The festival has a variety of offerings from attending workshops with notable chefs to wandering around the World Showcase sampling food offerings from many countries.  The workshops can be costly and do often sell-out, but they are known for being fun and insightful.  Since we have always visited with our children, we opt to just enjoy the incredibly diverse range of foods.  The price range of food items during the 2007 festival was anywhere from $1 to $5.  Each year there are favorites such as Canada's Cheese Soup that return along with new choices.  Trust me, you won't need to have any advanced dining reservations on that day - soooo many yummy choices!

If you'd like to read some specifics on last year's festival, you can do a search for Epcot's
2007 International Food & Wine Festival at  You will be able to find all the food booth samples as well as the culinary programs.

    Bon Appetit!
