Our family is planning to enjoy the Star Wars weekends at the end of May at DS. Do you have any interesting recommendations for counter service restaurants. Anything fun and creative beyond pizza/burgers - would helpful. May the force be with you.

    Hi Padawan!

This Jedi Mom has some tips to help with your galactic trip to Walt Disney World. Star Wars Weekends are an out-of-this-world experience. It'll be especially fun this year with Star Tours resuming flights this spring. Get a spot at the parade early. It's amazing to see the stormtroopers marching down the street.

For creative quick-service food at Disney's Hollywood Studios, I'd recommend the following:

ABC Commissary - Fried fish, Asian salad, Chicken curry with rice and Ham and Cheese wrap for kids.

Backlot Express - Veggie sandwich, Grilled turkey and cheese, Southwest salad with chicken and Meaty macaroni for kids.

Catalina Eddie's - Caesar salad with chicken, Hot Italian Deli sandwich.

Fairfax Fare - chicken and spareribs, barbecue pulled pork, chili hot dog.

Min and Bill's Dockside Diner - Frankfurter in a pretzel roll, Italian sausage, Chicken Caesar sandwich.

Studio Catering Company is especially inventive with not a single burger on the menu! The offerings include Pressed Tuscan Deli sandwich, Chicken Caesar wrap, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Turkey club, Grilled vegetable sandwich and Greek salad.

Of course, the Toluca Legs Turkey Company serves up turkey legs.

"Your focus determines your reality" so hopefully you'll find some fun food during your Star Wars adventure!
