Hi Suzanne and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
My family loves spending Easter at Walt Disney World. There are usually fun activities and sometimes special character appearances at the resorts Easter morning, and there is something just lovely about
Disney in the spring.
We stayed at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort this past Easter, and we had a blast. Their food court is terrific, and the resort's spectacular theming is full of Disney details and touches. If your family will be staying in a family suite, you'll have a kitchenette, a sitting area, and two bathrooms - it's nice to have that space, and the microwave is a nice amenity. My family would not hesitate to stay there again.
Honestly, though, I think I would choose the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort for Easter week. The kitchen is fantastic because you save some money cooking your own meals here and there, and my family really enjoys the time spent hanging out together, whether we are baking cinnamon rolls in the morning, playing cards at the table, or just laughing and snacking. Easter week can be very, very busy at Walt Disney World, and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is such a peaceful place to escape and relax. We actually spent Easter morning there horseback riding and exploring, and it was really special. There are so many
recreation options around the resort, so if the parks feel hectic or hot, you can always head back “home” and enjoy those.
I hope these thoughts help, Suzanne. You really can't go wrong with either choice! Have fun planning and Disney dreaming, and please come back and see us if you have more questions.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
