My family and I are planning a Disney vacation, booked April 2016, I've recently had bariatric surgery can really only eat 4 oz at a time. We chose to go with a dining plan but are my husband and I allowed to share an entree?

    Hello, Selina!

I know you and your family are getting so excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!!  You all are going to have a MAGICAL time!

Since you are on the Disney Dining Plan at this time, unfortunately, you would not be allowed to share an entree with your husband.  With that being said, my recommendation would be to talk to the chef at each of your Disney Dining table service restaurants.  I have found each restaurant chef is VERY accommodating to any dietary restriction.  These chefs can get very creative to prepare a dish you would love!

Another option would be to cancel Disney Dining from your reservation.  Since you are more than 30 days away from your Walt Disney World vacation, there would be no penalty in changing your reservation.  If you do this, you would then have an option at some table service restaurants to share an a la carte menu item with your husband.  However, you would not be able to share a plate if the restaurant was a buffet style restaurant.  My recommendation would be to ask a Cast Member if you are allowed to share an a la carte menu item before ordering.

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask!  We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!

    Wes
