Hello Marina!
Welcome to planDisney! Big families have the most fun when visiting Walt Disney World Resort! I know I did when I last visited with a family of 13! I loved making plans together and having the help of extra hands with all the kids.
The first step in planning a trip to Walt Disney World is to make sure you are all linked together on the
Family & Friends List. You and your sister-in-law should make your own My Disney Experience Accounts and then link up first. You can do that by visiting your Family & Friends List, scrolling down, and clicking on "+ Add a Guest." You can search for them by their name and phone number or email. Your sister-in-law should probably get an email or see on her list that you are trying to connect and she has to accept it. Don't forget to make sure that your settings allow you to share plans. Once that is done you guys need to go back to your Family & Friends List and click on "+Add a Guest" and then click on "Add a new Guest who doesn't have a Disney account." You will then "Create a Profile You Will Manage." This is not a real account but a profile that can be used to link up tickets, make reservations, or any other plans. The kids and those with managed accounts also can join in on the fun of choosing a fun character profile picture! Both of my kids are managed profiles by my husband and I. We also created a managed profile for my mother-in-law who does not own a smartphone and has no desire to learn how to use the App. She is happy with what we plan for her. If you have a similar person in your party then go ahead and make a managed profile for them.
Now that every person on this adventure is linked with either their personal My Disney Experience Accounts or managed profiles you can start linking tickets to them! If you have not done so already
head here to link your tickets and then link them to your entire party! Make sure you have your confirmation number from your email ready as you will need it. It could be a combination of letters and numbers. When you or your sister-in-law log into your My Disney Experience Accounts you should see your tickets now linked and your family all present. That should be it!
Your
dining reservation booking window may be coming up or has already passed. A large family meal is a lot of fun but can be hard to make due to lack of availability. My pro tip is to try breaking up your party of 10 into two groups of 5 and make dining reservations for the same place at times no more than 15 minutes apart. Arrive at the dining location at least 20 minutes before the earliest reservation you booked and speak with the Cast Member at the front. Let them know that you have two reservations for two groups that would like to sit next to or with each other. It is not guaranteed but they will do their best to seat you together. Be patient and be kind and hopefully, you will all be happily eating together!
I do hope this helps and if you have any more questions please feel free to come back and
let me know!Happy Planning!
