Hi Brandie!
Planning for your first Disney Cruise is so exciting! Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask about your stateroom selections. I’d love to give you my opinion on where my family enjoys to stay while onboard!
Booking two connecting staterooms will be a perfect fit for your swashbuckling crew! It looks like the itineraries for both cruises you’re interested in are on the Disney Dream. Spend some time on the Disney Cruise Line website looking at the difference between the
four main categories of staterooms: Inside, Oceanview, Verandah and Concierge. You will find different options and price ranges within each category, too! Once you've chosen the category of staterooms that will work best for your family, take a look at the
virtual Deck Plan of the ship (and be sure to select the Disney Dream in the drop-down). Here, you will be able to see where within the ship the category of staterooms are located. Also, you'll be able to see which rooms adjoin! I LOVE exploring the ships via the virtual Deck Plan!!
My family's preference is to stay on Decks 6-9. We've stayed on Deck 10 before, but quickly noticed that being under the pool deck and
Cabanas, the casual dining restaurant/buffet, can be noisy. Also, since you'll be sailing to Castaway Cay on both itineraries, we love choosing a stateroom with a verandah on the starboard side of the ship because you'll see gorgeous views of the island while the ship is docked!
If you choose a Very Merrytime Cruise aboard the Disney Dream, it would be the perfect way to kick off the holiday season! I'm so excited for your family to experience a Disney vacation on the high seas!
