Hi. my family is planning a cruise for july 2011. My sister's 18 birthday will happen while were on the cruise and I was wondering if she would be considered an adult or a teen?

    Hi Zoe,

Celebrating a birthday on a Disney Cruise is surely a way to celebrate in style!  Technically when you board the ship is when your age is determined, so the teenage activities and locations will be open to her.  However in this situation she'll get the best of both worlds because on her birthday she is now eligible to utilize any and all of the adult-only areas of the ship (I'm guessing she would never be confronted, but I'd have her carry an identification with her just in case).

Have a great time, and be sure that the birthday celebration is notated on your reservation because your service staff would love the opportunity to wish her a happy birthday!
