My family and I are planning a cruise on the Disney Dream in March 2012. We have a room with a verandah on the back of the boat. I was told the back of the boat has an amazing view, but upon research I read it was very loud. What are your thoughts?

Well....it's funny you should ask, Alisha (from my beautiful sweet home Alabama)! I just got off the Disney Dream yesterday, and my stateroom numbers (big family) were #10652 and #10654. (You can look them up on the deck plans.) We were located right under Cabanas -- the large restaurant located on the stern of the ship which serves breakfast and lunch everyday buffet style.

The only time I could tell there was something going on upstairs was the day we arrived and were in our staterooms while other guests were having lunch.  After that, the only other sound I could hear was the occasional excited child running down the hall during the day.

Our views were amazing, but we didn't have quite the one you'll experience on the stern. Therefore, I definitely think you are one lucky gal to be located where your stateroom is -- enjoy it! Let me know if I can help you with other questions about your trip next year.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
