Hi Amy!
Congratulations on your first Magical Walt Disney World vacation! I also have a family of 6 and am always looking for ways to stretch my Disney Dollars.
Currently if you follow this link for
Special Offers & Deals for Walt Disney World you can see what promotions are available. If you are able to travel by June 15th, I do see a great deal which offers 20-30% off room rates plus adds one day extra to your tickets when you purchase four day tickets. There are other offers on that linked page that you should look at as well. I highly recommend to
call and speak to a Cast Member about the details of these offers and see if your dates can work out. Some offers allow you to check in during the offer period and are applicable during your entire vacation if it extends a few days beyond the offer period. However each offer is unique so calling and discussing the availability and terms has always been beneficial to me in the past.
Whenever my family and I are on a tighter vacation budget here are other things I do:
- Stay in value accommodations - All Star Music Family Suites are less expensive than Art of Animation Family Suites. If booking two rooms we like Pop Century
- Drive rather than fly
- Bring easy breakfast items to eat in hotel room
- Pack juice pouches and snacks to take to the parks
- Ask for Disney Gift Cards for the kids for birthdays, Easter, or any holiday that you celebrate
- Frequently check the above linked Special Offers page and also MouseSavers.com for any discounts that may come up
Good luck on your deal hunting! Sometimes varying your vacation dates just a bit can save a lot.
Blessings,
Brenda ºOº
