My family and I are planning a big trip to Walt Disney World for sometime in 2014. We are wondering when the new FantasyLand will be completed? As well as when the crowds are at their smallest?

Hello, Mary!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

I am glad to hear about your 2014 Walt Disney World vacation!  I simply love hearing from guests who are getting a head start on their planning.  Personally, I think that early planning is the best way to utilize every minute of a Walt Disney World vacation.

The good news is that, by your trip in 2014, the New Fantasyland should be all ready to be explored. However, I cannot give you a specific month or date due to the fact that Disney is not releasing any specifics.  Many new parts of Fantasyland have been slowly opening up and I can tell you that they are fun and beautiful!  Keep checking HERE for updates.

Historically, the week following Thanksgiving until mid-December is a great time to visit.  Also, the week following Labor Day up until the week prior to Thanksgiving will reveal small crowds.  Another great time is the week after New Year's Day just up until President's week which falls in February.  Of course, we can never predict future crowds, but you should be safe.
