My family is planning on going back to Disney for the second time. I was wondering if we should go during Thanksgiving this time or go during Christmas again, but the week before Christmas. I don't want it as busy this time.

Hi Codi! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you will be coming back to the Walt Disney World Resort for a second trip!

The holiday season is our favorite time to experience the Walt Disney World Resort! It has been my experience that both Thanksgiving and Christmas brings in incredibly heavy crowds. This year we even visited right after Thanksgiving and the crowd levels seemed to be very high. If it was my family, I would choose to visit anytime between the second week of December up through the week before Christmas. While there are still a lot of people visiting during the holiday season, these weeks tend to be less busy than the actual holiday week. You will still find the parks and resort hotels decorated for Christmas and you will be able to experience a lot of the extras such as the Candlelight Processional in Epcot.

I have always found touringplans.com (a subscription based site) and easywdw.com (a free site) incredibly helpful for predicting crowd levels! I recommend checking one or both of these websites out to help you make your decision!

Stop back at any time and I will be more than happy to help answer any other questions that you may have! Happy Planning!
