My family is planning on attending MNSSHP in October 2011. I know that we can wear costumes, but do people usually dress Disney-related? Are you allowed to wear masks?

You are in for such a treat (no tricks!), Heather; Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a haunting good time!  I've been lucky enough to attend a number of these events over the years and in that time I've seen a wide variety of costumes.  I'd estimate that, yes, a majority of guests do don Disney-related costumes.  That said, not every guest will be Disney-fied.  You're sure to see plenty of more traditional pumpkins, and clowns, etc.  While I have seen some guests wearing masks, I think the general rule is that costume components should not obstruct the vision of the guest wearing it.  Also, costumes should not be offensive.  Have a not-so-scary time, Heather!
