hi. our family is planning to attend during thanksgiving 2010. is this a good time to come and will it be busy? we plan on staying 6 days

Hi Dee!  For many years my family chose Thanksgiving week as our vacation time at Walt Disney World.  From Thursday through Saturday you will notice much larger crowds in the parks but if you can go earlier in the week to get many of the most popular attractions under your belt you can then use the busy days to relax and enjoy some of the resort recreation.

One of the things we enjoyed about that time of year is that it was not only fun to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with Mickey and friends but also to start getting into the holiday spirit since many decorations will start to pop up all around the property.  Consider getting tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in the Magic Kingdom during your stay.  This is a special event that requires an additional ticket but it is full of holiday spirit and fun!
