My family of 6 and I planned a visit together. While we’re planning on spending time in the parks together we also want to separate and do our own things. Can our park tickets and genie+ be used on different devices the same day without issues? Thank you!

    Hi Kaila!

Welcome to planDisney! I think it's a great idea to be able to divide and conquer during a day in the parks, so I'm very glad you asked about the technology side of making it so everyone can have their best day ever. I'm happy to help!

Yes! You can absolutely use your park tickets and Disney Genie+ Service on multiple mobile devices. To do that, you'll need to link your park tickets to each person's Disneyland Mobile App. It's really easy!

    • Open up the Disneyland Mobile App and sign in
    • Click the "≡" icon in the bottom right corner to open the main menu
    • Tap on "Tickets and Passes"
    • Tap the "+" sign in the top right corner and choose "Link Tickets & Passes"
    • Use your camera to scan the barcode of the ticket you want to link or type in the ID number of the ticket
If your tickets are already linked to someone's Disneyland Mobile App then the easiest way to link them is to scan the barcode that appears in their app when you're in the "Tickets and Passes" menu. Then you'll be linked up and ready to go! When tickets are linked then you're able to include those guests in your party for Lightning Lane reservations, join Virtual Queues, and even purchase Disney Genie+ Service for them at the start of your day if it isn't already on your tickets.

Are there younger kids in your party who don't have their own mobile devices? My kids love using MagicBand+ at the parks because the bands allow them to enter the theme parks and tap in at Lightning Lanes (when we've used our phones to add them to the party and reserve the time already) without us using our phones for them! It gives them a little bit of independence and also adds some fun magical surprises to their day as the bands interact with rides, shows, and special Disney100 Celebration decor. Our favorite MagicBand+ activity is bounty hunting across Batuu, you never know what villainous or infamous characters from across the galaxy you might bump into!

Kaila, I'm wishing for you and your family to have a truly magical day in the parks! If you have more questions about visiting I hope you'll come and visit us again!

    Keep moving forward!
