Hi Clarissa!
Welcome to planDisney! There is truly something extra magical about Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season. With so many
festive events taking place throughout the parks and resorts, it's hard for me to choose my favorite!
Clarissa, one of those special events is
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This event requires separate admission and Magic Kingdom Park closes early to day Guests on party evenings. During Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, partygoers are treated to a seasonal fireworks display, Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. Typically,
Happily Ever After will be shown on non-party nights as usual at Magic Kingdom Park, except on select days immediately surrounding Christmas when the holiday parade and fireworks may be on display for all Guests. I recommend checking the
Hours & Events Calendar beginning 60 days before your arrival for updated information on which nights you can expect to see Happily Ever After and which nights will have seasonal fireworks. If you look under "Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment" for Magic Kingdom Park, you should be able to see the schedule for your trip when available.
While you're near Magic Kingdom Park, I recommend hopping on the Walt Disney World Monorail and riding over to
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to catch a glimpse of the beautiful decorations and life-sized Gingerbread House. It is quite a sight to see. . .and the lobby smells delicious! Not only can you see and smell the gingerbread, but you can also purchase some tasty gingerbread treats to take home with you.
Clarissa, I hope this information is helpful and that you enjoy a jolly holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
Happy Planning!
Kristi
