My family and I plan to visit Disney World this April. We are expected to arrive mid-afternoon, and I am unsure how to plan our dinner reservations for this particular day. Will we be granted the entire meals within the dining plan that day?

Hi Roy! You must be so excited for your Walt Disney World Vacation! The Disney Dining Plan is a great investment, in my opinion. Having your meals paid for in advanced helps to take away some of the stress of managing money at the parks and allows you to focus on having fun with your family.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, you are asking if your dining credits allotments disappear if you don't use them. The answer is no. Your dining credits roll-over to the next day if they go unused. The credits are spread out over the course of your vacation, and you can use them to your hearts desire. For example, say you have the Standard Dining Plan with 1 Quick-Service meal, 1 Table-Service Meal, and 1 Snack credit. You can use all 6 of your Snack credits on the first day of your trip. You can also mix and match the Table-Service and Quick-Service meals too. On the first day you could plan 3 Table-Service meals. The Dining Plan is flexible and somewhat customizable.

Since you are arriving mid-afternoon, I'd suggest making a Table-Service reservation for later in the evening and depending on whether or not you are hungry when you arrive, you could use a Quick-Service credit or a Snack Credit to hold you over until dinner. If you just want to plan for a Table-Service dinner on that first day, that is completely ok too. Your Snack credit and Quick-Service credit from that day will roll-over and you can use them anytime before your vacation ends.

I hope this answers your question.

    Have a magical day!
