    My family and I plan on staying at Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista, this will be my first time staying at a Good Neighbor hotel. Does transportation work the same as Disney Hotels? Or do I need to schedule my own? We are a rope drop family!

    Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your great question about transportation.  I am like you and want to have all of my plans smoothed out before the vacation begins!

    I have stayed at a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor hotel in the past and have found my accommodations to be a very good value.  Each Walt Disney World Good Neighbor hotel operates individually, and each has their own services and amenities.  Since you mentioned that you are staying at the Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista, I noticed that there is a free shuttle to the Walt Disney Theme Parks and Disney Springs listed as part of the services.  I called the phone number listed and spoke to a representative at the hotel and they explained that the free shuttle leaves the Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista hotel twice a day to take Guests to the theme parks.  The shuttle first leaves at 9:25 a.m. for EPCOT and then it leaves again at 10:40 a.m. for Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Guests who wish to visit Disney Springs, Disney's Animal Kingdom, or Magic Kingdom would need to use the complimentary Walt Disney World Bus Service to transfer to one of those locations after they have been dropped off by their hotel's shuttle.

    Janessa, I love that you are a rope drop family!  Therefore, I think you will need to make your own transportation arrangements in order to go to any of the theme parks early in the morning.  I have used rideshare services in the Orlando area and found it very quick and convenient and you might find it suits your needs too.
