    Our family would like to plan our first wdw vacation, we have no idea where to start, and we need entertainment for a 14 yr old boy, We would like to spend Christmas there, what do you suggest? We would also, like to spend a little beach time

    Hi Johnny, I recently answered a question about the first steps in planning your Disney vacation. Due to space limits & the fact that I'd like to address your other questions too, please see HERE for the "where to begin" info.

    Like you, I have a 14 year old son. I think you will find that your son will have a blast at Disney World. A few things come to mind for entertaining a teen boy. There are several marinas with access to the Sea Raycer boats. Teens (and adults) love to have fun with the various watercrafts for rent. You can learn more about those options HERE. In addition, most boys thoroughly enjoy DisneyQuest. If you aren't familiar with it, DisneyQuest is located at Downtown Disney and includes 5 floors of interactive gaming. See HERE. Also, if your son is like mine, he will love the thrill rides. Favorites include: Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Test Track, Mission: Space and Space Mountain. In addition, at Disney's Hollywood Studios, most teen boys enjoy the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular as well as the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show. You may also want to consider spending a day at a water park, as most teens enjoy Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon immensely. However, because you mentioned visiting in December, it may be too cold for that.
