    My family and I have a photo from Disney Worlds 25th anniversary with the castle decorated like a cake! We are hoping to recreate this photo for the 50th anniversary. Do you have information on if/when the castle will be decorated for the celebration?

    Hi there Alyssa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're so glad you're here with your question! We love to talk about all things Disney Parks.

    Oh my goodness! I have such fond memories of that unforgettable 25th anniversary Walt Disney World celebration birthday cake. Cinderella Castle's unique enhancement was quite striking, and a prominent feature in our family vacation photos from 1996. I was just a little girl, but I remember being quite impressed by the 18-story pink adornment. 

    My family and I are so excited for Walt Disney World to commemorate its 50th anniversary. There are so many fantastic experiences on the horizon! I am most looking forward to the debut of new attractions, such as Tomorrowland's TRON roller coaster, and the Guardians of the Galaxy ride at EPCOT, both scheduled to open by the 50th anniversary celebration in 2021. I'll be keeping my eye on the Disney Parks Blog all year for updates and announcements.

    Speaking of the Disney Parks Blog, I recently read that Cinderella Castle will receive a royal makeover, set to begin immediately and continue throughout the summer of 2020. We do not have a date on when the enhancements will be complete, but based on concept art shown on the Disney Parks Blog, this classic icon of the Magic Kingdom Park will look absolutely stunning in time for the 50th anniversary celebration. It will be the perfect backdrop for your next of royally inspired family photos!

    I hope you are as excited about the future of the Disney Parks as I am. It's bound to be a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
