I have a family of 6. Can 3 people do the Genie Plus at one ride and three others do ti at a different one? One of children is to small to do Big Thunder Mountai

    Hi Kelly, welcome to planDisney!

Your party of six is as welcome as can be at Walt Disney World Resort. My kids are now tall and brave enough to experience all the Disney thrills, but they always save time for classic attractions with no height restriction like Peter Pan's Flight at Magic Kingdom Park and Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Guests can purchase Disney Genie+ service anytime after midnight each park day via the Tip Board of the My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the home page --> Tip Board). You can purchase Disney Genie+ service and book Genie+ Lightning Lanes throughout the day for all eligible Guests on your Family & Friends list during the "Confirm Your Party" step.

You are welcome to book Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions all together or in smaller groups throughout your park day. I recommend booking a popular attraction that everyone can experience together at 7:00 a.m. each park day. Let's say you book Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom Park and are given an arrival window that begins at 9:30 a.m. As soon as everyone has used their method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) to tap in at this attraction, you can book everyone's next Genie+ Lightning Lane attraction. If you decide to split up into two groups for your next attraction, I recommend looking for nearby attractions with similar arrival windows. For example, your little one can experience The Magic Carpets of Aladdin while others in your party go for Big Thunder Mountain. Finding attractions with similar arrival windows will keep everyone on the same Genie+ Lightning Lane booking schedule.

Rider Switch service is another option to keep in mind when experiencing an attraction that not all members of your party can ride. Let's say five members of your party have a Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation for Big Thunder Mountain. While checking in with a Cast Member at the Lightning Lane entrance, tell them you'd like to take advantage of Rider Switch service. One rider stays with your little one while the other four ride the attraction. When they are done experiencing the attraction, the person that waited with the small child can experience the attraction via the Lightning Lane entrance (even if it's past the initial arrival window time slot) with a friend. That's right, someone in your party gets to experience Big Thunder Mountain a second time via the Lightning Lane entrance thanks to Rider Switch. In this scenario, the small child will not have an active Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation booked for this time period of time and that's ok. There's a great little play area by the Frontierland train station that will keep them Happy as the dwarf.

I hope your sensational six have a great time making magical memories together, Kelly. If any other questions come to mind, you know where to find me!
