Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Sarah!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Thanks so much for dropping by with your question. Ahhh! You're less than three weeks away from arriving at Walt Disney World Resort –– you must be getting so excited! Before you know it, you'll be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., and taking in all the splendor of The Most Magical Place on Earth all dressed up in its holiday best. It's going to be amazing!
As you're checking items off your final checklist, be sure to open up the
My Disney Experience mobile app, click on "Future Plans" and double-check that you've made a
Disney Park Pass reservation for each day you plan to visit a Walt Disney World theme park. Remember, you'll need both the theme park reservation and valid admission for the first park you'll be entering each day. Once you've confirmed that those are in place, you'll be all set to hit the ground running once you arrive at Walt Disney World in a few weeks!
My family is in the final stretch for our January visit to Walt Disney World and my kids are so excited to try out the new
MagicBand+. In fact, I just ordered their new bands last week, but like you, I didn't plan to purchase one my husband and I –– we've decided to use the
Disney MagicMobile service on our smartwatches and phones instead. In order to purchase MagicBand+ for only a few members of your traveling party, you'll need to decline a band for each person that won't be getting one. Here's what you'll need to do to make that happen:
1. Log into your My Disney Experience account on the Walt Disney World website.
2. Hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab and select "My MagicBands and Cards" from the drop-down menu.
3. Under "MagicBand Order for 6 Guests", click the blue "Get Started" button.
4. Choose a MagicBand+ for each Guest who will be purchasing one.
5. After you've made all your band selections, click on the first Guest who won't be purchasing a band. Under their name on the next screen, click "Decline a New MagicBand" and follow the onscreen prompts to confirm that you're declining the pre-arrival offer.
6. Repeat the process for any other Guests who won't be purchasing a new band.
Once you've either made a selection or denied a MagicBand for each Member of your traveling party, you should be able to proceed to checkout and finalize your purchase. While shipping times are never guaranteed, I can tell you that when I placed my order last week, I received a notification saying that I would receive my band in about 10 days (I just took a peek at the tracking information and our package is scheduled to arrive on exactly on day 10). Since your trip is coming up soon, I recommend placing your order ASAP to help make sure that you receive your MagicBands in time.
Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, Sarah. I hope this helped to answer your question and I'm wishing you and your family a pixie-dusted holiday visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
