Our family will be passing through Orlando and we will be at Magic Kingdom for 1 day in May. I started with the Fastpasses, but are there any other tips that you can give on making the most out of our single day? We have a 5 and 1 year old. Thanks!

    Hi Lindsay,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I'm so excited to hEAR you will be visiting Magic Kingdom Park in May. You're off to a great start by already having your FastPass+ selections booked. If you are hoping to enjoy a sit-down meal, be sure to book an Advanced Dining Reservation to ensure being able to experience a particular dining location.

I recommend arriving prior to park opening to allow yourself ample time to go through the security bag check and touch point entry system areas. I have always found when we arrive at park opening, we are able to experience several of the most popular attractions with little to no wait. I also suggest starting your day in Fantasyland and then touring the park by "lands" in order to maximize your time and decrease the amount of unnecessary walking. Don't miss Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. Be sure to secure a spot along the parade route at least 45 minutes prior to the start of the parade for optimal viewing.

Pick up a Park Map and Times Guide when entering the park for easier park touring and up to date Character Greeting, Dining, Show and Attraction times. I hope this information has been helpful to you. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out again. Best wishes for a magical trip, Lindsay!

    Happy Planning,
