Hi Meagan! Welcome to planDisney.
Can you believe your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is coming up in just a few short days? Soon you'll be right in the middle of the magic! I'll be happy to help you with your question.
Disney Genie+ service works really well with park hopping! What I typically do is use the standby entrances to attractions first thing in the morning when wait times are relatively short, while reserving Lightning Lane access for attractions in the park I plan to hop to. All Guests who have purchased Disney Genie+ service may reserve their first Lightning Lane attraction beginning at 7:00 am. You are welcome to book an attraction in either park you plan to visit, but you'll need to make sure the return time window is after 2:00 pm for any attractions you plan to book at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The Tip Board in the My Disney Experience mobile app will let you know when the next available return time window is for your desired attractions. I recommend keeping an eye on the Tip Board in the coming days to get an idea of which attractions tend to have return times later in the day.
Some of the most popular attractions have been designated as Invidivual Lightning Lanes. Currently, there is one Individual Lightning Lane attraction in each park:
When purchasing Individual Lightning Lane access, you'll be able to select your choice of available return time windows (instead of the
next return time as with Disney Genie+). Guests staying at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels, and Shades of Green may purchase Individual Lightning Lanes beginning at 7:00 am. All other Guests may purchase beginning at the
scheduled park opening time. Guests may purchase up to two different Individual Lightning Lane attractions per day.
Meagan, once you start using Disney Genie+ service, I'm sure you'll have the hang of it in no time. Please feel free to stop by planDisney again with any additional questions you may have. Enjoy your visit!
