My family and parents are visiting Disney World in early December. My mom's birthday is Dec 24, and she never gets to celebrate her birthday because of Christmas. Do you have any suggestions of how we could celebrate while at Disney? Thanks!

Hi, Meg!  I have one nephew born on Dec. 23rd and another on Christmas day, and I know it can be tough to really feel like you are being celebrated on your special day with such a big holiday taking over!

I highly recommend contacting the Disney Florist, where you'll find birthday celebrations that fit every budget.  You can do a beautiful balloon bouquet, flowers, or a whole in-room birthday celebration that would make the lights on any Christmas tree dim by comparison!

If you are making Disney World Dining Reservations, have it noted that you are celebrating a birthday.  You never know where there may be pixie dust sprinkled that will help to make your mom feel special on her big day.

Don't forget to acquire a birthday button.  You'll find them at Guest Services, and you may be able to get one at the front desk of your resort.  And while we're talking about resorts, make sure you note it on your room reservation that you are celebrating your mom's birthday.

You can Customize Your Disney Celebration many other ways, including specialty cakes, personalized t-shirts, and even mouse ears.  You may find something to make your mom's day even more special when you browse some of these options.

I hope your upcoming vacation - and the birthday celebration - is absolutely magical for all of you!
