Family of 5, parents, dd's 22, 26, 28 trying to decide between the weeks of May 20-25, 2013 (week before memorial day) or sometime in early July ( myb 4th of July) at BC. We have only done Disney in the summer months, thinking May might be less crowded? Tx

Hi CJ!  Deciding when to take a Disney vacation is certainly the hardest element of the planning.  I am a northern girl and honestly can't handle the heat of the summer so I never vacation during June, July, and August. I don't like humidity and neither does my hair so we avoid Florida during those months when both temperatures and humidity are at their peaks!

My vote is completely for May.  The weather will be warm and the humidity will be starting its upward climb but you have a better chance of relief at that time then in the middle of July.  The average temperatures for May are between 66-88 degrees with average  3.7 inches of rainfall. The average for July is between 73-93 degrees with about 6.2 inches rainfall. You will also find that the crowds will be lower although as it gets to the holiday weekend they will spike up some due to local guests. July is one of the busiest months in the parks so add that with the heat it can become tiring and frustrating to get everything done that you hope.  May weeks would allow you to be more relaxed and you would find shorter lines. Still go prepared with dining reservations and a plan no matter which date you choose!
